Blakely Bennett
About the Author
Blakely
Bennett grew up in Southeast Florida and has been residing in the great
Northwest for over eight years. She graduated from Nova Southeastern
University with a degree in psychology, which accounts for her
particular interest in crafting the personalities, struggles, and
motivations of her characters. She is an avid reader of many genres of
fiction, but especially enjoys erotica and romance. Writing has always
been her bliss.
Blakely is married to a wonderful, loving, and supportive husband, who is also a writer, and who helps to keep her grounded. She is a mother, a communitarian, a lover of music (it is always on while she is writing thanks to Pandora), and a good friend. An advocate of love and female empowerment, she is also a facilitator for a women's group. She loves to walk and hike for exercise, and finds that, since moving to Seattle, Washington, she is now one of those crazy people who walk in the rain.
Stuck In Between is her fifth novel. She is also the author of the dark erotic suspense My Body Trilogy (My Body-His, My Body-His (Marcello) and My Body-Mine) and the co-authored of the contemporary romance, The Demarcation of Jack which she wrote with her husband, Dana Bennett.

Q&A
1.
If you could be one of your characters, who
would it be? Why?
Lainie but I can’t say why. You have to
read Bittersweet Deceit to find out.
2.
At what age did you realize you wanted to be an
author?
10th grade after reading
Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
3.
Top 5 shows you watch on TV?
The Voice
So You Think You Can Dance
Masters of Sex
The Big Bang Theory
The Next Food Network Star
(I love watching people chase their
dreams.)
4.
Any playlists you like to listen to when you
write?
Yes! I share them in my Bound by Your Love
Series novels. On Pandora the stations I’ve been listening to most recently
are: alt-J, Lorde, Florence + The Machine, John Legend, Alex Clare, Stateless, The
Xx, and many more. Sam Smith is my newest love.
5.
If you could have any hobby, what would it be?
Skydiving and sailing.
6.
Any WIP’s?
Two: The third book in the Bound by Your
Love Series called Blue Persuasion and a steamy romance called The Second First
Chance.
7.
Favorite writing time snack or snack in general?
Chocolate and potato chips (not at the same time). I don’t typically eat when
I’m writing. I tend to forget to eat.
8.
Any tattoo’s? What are they? Where are they? When
did you get them?
Linked hearts on the top of my right foot.
Yes, it hurt a lot! I had wanted to get one for a long time but I didn’t want
anything anyone else had. I was 41 when I finally got it. The outline is from a
wooden sculpture we found in Alaska, which now hangs over the head of our bed.
9.
What’s something adventurous you’ve done?
Entering the publishing world has been
quite the adventure. I have traveled a bunch but not nearly enough.
10.
Favorite Actor or Actress?
Meryl
Streep if I have to choose but I’m not particular star struck over
anyone.
11.
If you couldn’t be a writer, what would be your
dream job? It can even be something you are not talented with or are scared of?
An actor. I was decent at it in college but
knew I couldn’t stomach the constant rejection that goes with it.
12.
Biggest fear?
My husband dying too soon. He is the love
of my life and I hope he lives to be 100.
Also that the dream I’m chasing won’t reach
its destination.
13.
If you had a billion bucks, what would you do
with it?
Support all the causes important to my
husband and me, be very generous with family and friends, travel A LOT, hire
people to deal with my social media except connecting with my readers, get a
ton of services like house cleaners, weekly massages, hire a PA, did I mention
traveling? Our dream is to find a destination we want to spend time in and then
set a book there.

About the Author
Jenna writes romantica. Romance novels with explicit sex. Much like
erotica but with characters you care about and some underling romance
principles.
Q&A
1.
Do you call yourself a writer or and author?

2.
At what ages did you realize you wanted to be an
author?
I wrote my first full length novel at 14 but I never did anything with
it. :)

I don't have a

I just put it on shuffle and go.
5.

1 Dog and 1 cat. Salt (white
cat) and Pepper (black dog)

I am sure I have one but I can't

7.
If you could have any hobby, what would it be?
I would like to be able to play
a musical instrument.
8.
Any WIPs?
Currently I am
working on a full length novel called the Misadventures of Ava Malone. It is
about a woman who works in a fantasy club. So she is essentially a call girl.
Her love interest is very vanilla so she gets to introduce him to the kinkier
side of sex.
9.
Favorite writing time snack?
Pretzel goldfish
10.
Plotter or squatter? Why?
I have a basic plan for the
story but when I start writing it takes on a life of its own.

Roxanne is a sought after tattoo artist, Tank is a private security
alpha male. He is huge and bald and he's Roxanne’s favorite canvas.
Roxanne and Tank have been roommates for three years and he has always had a ‘thing’ for her. She knows but she doesn't encourage him because she likes sex and doesn't think she will ever be monogamous with anyone.
One night their frustrations with each other come to a head and she tells him in her very blunt manner to Fuck off. She regrets it immediately but by then the gauntlet has been thrown. He decides to prove once and for all that he would have no trouble keeping up with her sexual appetites. Using his superior strength he ties her to her own bed and calmly informs her that he is moving out but before he does he is going to spend the next 48 hours proving his prowess.
Roxanne has never seen this side of Tank. She is incredibly turned on and more than a little impressed by his sexual talent. Unfortunately, now that she's seen this side she knows she can't let him go but how will she convince him to stay?
Disclaimer: This is an Erotic Romance Novella approximately 24,000 words. This is a complete stand alone story. This novella contains explicit sex.
Review
I loved 48
hours! There were punctuations mistakes, but I listened to my kindle
read it to me, so it sounded flawless. I finished the book over a week
ago and forgot to review and then kept delaying. I really don't want to
leave anything out. It's one of those books that is short but has a lot
to offer. I finished it in one day!
So it starts off with a prologue in Tank's POV. It was interesting, but it could've used a little bit of work. I was thrown right in and introduced to three characters at once, and I think it may have overwhelmed me a bit. After the prologue, it switch's to Roxy's POV. She is a feisty one. I didn't know what to expect from this tattoo artist, but I liked her. Even more so, I liked her with Tank.
Roxy has spent her life doing everything that walks, but she refuses to be with Tank, even though there was that "one time". Tank is too sweet for her; she likes it rough. She needs a man that will chain her to the bed post and do her brains out. Sex is just sex to her. It isn't love; it can't be. She can never be with Tank. He'd never be able to satisfy her needs. Right?
Let's just say that even after 3 years of living with the guy, Roxy had no idea what he was capable of. He tells her that he's moving out, but then he chains her to the bed? Why would he do that? Tank knows he'll never sweet talk Roxy into being with him, so he has to meet her on her level. He chains her up to the bed and tells her he's going to make her stay there. "You're mine for the next 48 hours!" Worse than being chained, he won't even let her pleasure herself or cum without his permission. She's addicted to sex and this 48 hours is going to be torture, or so she thinks.
Tank is dominant during these 48 hours, but he is also kind. I thought it was cute that she was embarrassed to pee in front of him when they had already had sex. It made her seem real to me. When they got in the shower she was all timid again and it made me wonder why, though it still seemed very realistic despite her incessant need for sex that would make you think otherwise.
Tank and Roxy have their reasons for being the way they are and during the course of this 48 hours their secrets are revealed. The characters bond and their relationship progresses all the way up until the end.
I loved the end. It was the perfect way to wrap the book up and leave a little part of Tank and Roxy in my heart. If you want a HIGHLY EROTIC book that's not complete smut and actually has characters with a little bit of depth (It's short, so you're not going to learn as much about them as you would in a full length novel, but considering the length, I think the level of character development was appropriate.) then this book is for you!
